Greetings (The Difficult First Post)

Greetings All.

Welcome to our little corner of the web. Thanks so much for checking us out.

Reverb Media is a small, but mighty, independent media company offering publicity, promotion, marketing and consulting services to individuals, groups and companies in the fields of music, film, arts and non-profit services.

Reverb Media was created in the late summer of 2008 by Martin Hall (me!), whose background includes over 9 years as Director of Publicity/Promotions at Merge Records. Mr. Hall (me!) left Merge in December of 2007 after an incredibly satisfying and productive run that saw the label grow from a small labor of love operation into a multi-million dollar concern, a force to be reckoned with in the sometimes volatile music industry; a label respected the world over for integrity and sound business practices. Over his tenure at Merge, Martin (me!) was honored to work with/for over 100 bands, including: Arcade Fire, Spoon, Superchunk, Neutral Milk Hotel, Magnetic Fields, Destroyer, Richard Buckner, Camera Obscura, Lambchop, Buzzcocks, Portastatic, The Rosebuds, The Broken West, Shout Out Louds, The Clientele, Oakley Hall, Robert Pollard to name just a few. Mr. Hall brings the lessons learned and expertise gained from these experiences to his new endeavor.

This blog/website will serve as a general sounding board on a variety of topics, as well as an information resource for the bands we represent.

Reverb Media offers services including, but not limited to: national press; regional/tour press; digital media marketing and promotions; advertising; media planning; and artist management/consulting.
